  1. Always go to sleep at the same time. This can be hard when you do an all nighter at the club with your friends, but if you want to sleep better and not be a zombie the next day, find a consistent time to go to bed.
  2. Opt for 6 to 7 hours of sleep. Anything less than this will cause sleep deprivation. It’s also a misconception that you can “make” up lost time on the weekend.
  3. Stop eating two to three hours before you go to bed. Eating creates work for your body and will make it difficult to get in the sleep mode.
  4. Finally, don’t do anything stimulating right before you go to bed. In other words, don’t exercise before you go to bed. It’s best to do something soothing like a bath, reading a book or watching TV.
